Christmas 2010

Me and my little Miss on Christmas Eve!

Christmas Morning......the kids were so excited
and very anxious to open all their presents! Owen
was of course up very early, but I actually didn't
get up till 8 so the poor kid had to wait!!

Aaron actually made this sail boat for Owen
and it turned out very cute!! He is so crafty!

The kids opening all of their presents.

Olivia with her "Olivia" apron that
grandma Histand made her. It is darling!

Playing with all her new toys and loving it!

Hat and scarf that great grandma Hess sent!

Cheesing for the camera....she is so cute b/c
she knows how to say cheese and she sees the
camera and says "cheese" in her little voice....
love it!!
Car and dolls that were sent from
her cousins in Pennsylvania!
Me and Aaron....good morning world....Owen took this picture
so guess I couldn't ask for it to be perfect, but thought it was cute!

We got Owen Lego's for Christmas. Aaron loved playing
with them as a kid and thought we needed some for
Owen. He spent several hours at the table putting
them together. I think he had more fun then Owen!

The final project. Owen acts so proud! He
loves playing with them though!

Christmas Eve. We went to Christmas Eve Service at Cole
Church with Leroy and Barb. Then afterwards the rest of the
gang came back to our house for lots of yummy food and of
course lots of good laughs and great fellowship!!
Great grandpa reading to Olivia.

Owen playing his favorite game. He even
beat Aunt Barb and Uncle Rich.

Christmas Day!
We went to Leroy and Barb's Christmas Day for lunch.
Had great Prime Rib! Then of course played a lot too!

Barb playing with the kids and giving
Olivia her Christmas present.

Well...Christmas 2010 is over.....I always love
this time of year....all the decorations, presents,
family, food and of course remembering Christ!
However, it is always sad when it is over. It
goes way too fast. All the anticipation and preparation
and then it OVER!! I wish it would last for days. Christmas
morning with the kids though was the best and makes it all
worth it. It is so fun having that family time with the kids
and creating your own memories and traditions. I always
do get a little sad not to be around my family during
the Holidays, but.....
So Merry Chirstmas and Happy New Year!!

Santa
On Tuesday, Darcie, Kim and I took the kids
to the mall to see Santa. Santa #1.....
Then on Saturday, at Aaron's work party there
was Santa too...Owen was very excited. Santa #2.....

Then Saturday night we went to the Winter Garden Aglow
with friends and again saw Santa. Santa #3.....
So you ask...do my kids believe in Santa? Well my friend
Kelly watched the kids on Thursday and was convinced that
Owen totally didn't believe in Santa. I have never been a huge
Santa fan myself. I am not sure why! I don't care if they
believe in him to a point, but don't think they need to think
he brings all their presents and such. Just more a fun thing
to see Santa at Christmas. Since Christmas really is about the
birth of Jesus Christ and not Santa! So I asked Owen, "Do you
believe in Santa?" Owen replied, "I don't know, do we?"
Oh and is there more then just ONE SANTA?

Our Christmas Tree 2010
Our family tradition for the last several years
has been to go up into the mountains and cut
down our own Christmas tree. So this year
we continued that tradition and went back
up to Idaho City where we have gone the
last few years too. It is such a fun day! I
love TRADITION'S and that the kids can
be a part of it. We actually cut down
two trees so that the kids have their
own to put up and decorate. Owen really
got into his tree and had so much fun with it.
The Holidays...all about Christ and the kids!
LOVE this time of year!
Cutting down our Christmas tree!
