Grandpa and Grandma Histand's Visit ~May 2013

Owen's Music Program at School. 

The kids were given an option to participate

in the music program at school and Owen

really wanted to.  They had to memorize a line to

say during the program.  Of course we missed it

because we were in the Netherlands but

Grandpa and Grandma got to see it and took

a few pictures for us!

Olivia and grandpa playing kitchen.  Looks

like grandpa was a good sport and played right

along with Olivia and I am sure she

was loving it.  Grandpa Histand

is the one who build Olivia her kitchen

and she loves it and has spent many

hours playing in her kitchen.

Owen helping grandma make pancakes.  The kids are

always eager to jump in and help.  I guess the story

goes that she left him dump in the chocolate chips,

well turns out they were butterscotch chips instead!

Guess they decided they were actually pretty good!

"Flubber"

Grandpa and Grandma brought lots of fun

things along for the kids to do while they

were here.  The flubber was a big hit

and they played with it for hours and

have played with it a lot since they have

left too.  It is pretty fun stuff!  Love the texture!

It sounds like they spent a lot of time outside

during various activities!

 

SEVENS!

This is a new card game grandpa taught Owen and he

loved playing.  Sounds like they could spent at least an hour

a night playing.  Now EVERY night Owen wants

to play SEVENS!  He is pretty good at it and would

play for hours!  Thanks grandpa!

 

What a GREAT week and they with their grandparents

and how fortunate we were to be able to go on our

trip and know our kids were being taken such

good care of!  Thanks for coming over and

watching the kids!  We appreciate all you did!!
