Our drive on "Going-to-the-Sun Road"
The second day in the park we drove the
"'Going-to-the-Sun Road." It is the only major road that goes throughout the park. It is
about 50 miles and took us several hours. Of course we stopped and saw many things along the way. To the left is several shots of St. Mary's lake. This is located at the east entrance of the park. Below is several pictures from Logan Pass. Logan Pass straddles the Continental Divide. This area is filled with lush meadows of wildflowers and surrounded by jagged peaks.
There were many waterfalls seen along the way. Also the "Weeping Wall." Below are some Big Horn sheep what we saw just standing along side the road eating. They were loosing their fur so they looked rough. Obviously they are used to seeing people. They just stood there and acted unbothered by everyone watching and taking picutures.
The family picture!! This too was in at St. Mary's Lake. The view was amazing with the lake and mountains in the background.
